What’s the difference between corrugated and cardboard?
People often use the term “cardboard box,” but most shipping boxes are actually made from corrugated fiberboard. Corrugated consists of a fluted inner layer sandwiched between two linerboards, giving it strength and cushioning for shipping and protective packaging.
True “cardboard” (often called chipboard) is much thinner and is typically used for lightweight packaging such as cereal boxes or board game boxes.
