What is tooling?

Unlike standard shipping boxes, many die-cut packages require tooling -typically a cutting die used to stamp the box shape from a sheet of material. Tooling involves a one-time cost, but it allows for custom shapes and designs that can’t be produced otherwise. Pricing depends on the size and complexity of the package, and we provide firm quotes before production begins.

Do you have existing cutting dies that I can use for my order?

Yes. We have a large selection of existing die styles and sizes. While we don’t publish a stock die catalog, our customer service team can often locate an existing die that closely matches your packaging needs.
